A skull can become landscape; landscape can become a structure of thought; the physical solidity of stone can push a poem towards metaphysics. The visual work has the same sort of quality as the poems, making for a beautifully odd hybrid book about art and practice.

Redcliffe Press / Redcliffe Poetry, Bristol, 1985.
