Photographs, archival material, essays and documentation trace the relationship between transport, urban identity and the possibilities of making art outside conventional galleries.

I loved the way it explores the social life of infrastructure, moving between Melbourne's enduring tram culture and Kolkata's historically significant network, considering both the practical and imaginative possibilities of their shared form. An engaging piece of cross-cultural urban history and public art documentation, especially for readers interested in cities, experimental artistic practice and the overlooked poetry of everyday movement.

RMIT University Press / Yoda Press, 2005.
