'Gyroscope Life' by Zhou Yudong (Chinese)

Chinese-language edition of Gyroscope Life (《陀螺人生》), likely a mid-20th-century or later reprint of earlier work, attributed to Zhou Yudong.
The book appears to be a collection of stories or vignettes, structured around different stages of life and social experience, and is illustrated throughout with stark, woodcut-style images depicting labour, movement, and everyday scenes. It is a beautiful copy, has something about it that is very magnetic, hence why I picked it up.
For I'm writing this without having it translated, for me it reads as an object first: a piece of print culture built on texture, rhythm, and visual narrative as much as text. A quiet, self-contained world you have to enter sideways.
If you have notes on this, please let me know so I can update the description!
