'On Writing' by Stephen King

This is one of the few books about writing that earns its longevity.
Half practical manual, half oblique memoir, On Writing follows King's habit, discipline, and the unglamorous mechanics of getting words onto the page. His advice is blunt, unfashionable, and grounded in decades of commercial and literary success rather than workshop orthodoxy.
Much of it is deliberately simple—but tone: pragmatic, anti-mystical, allergic to pretension. It sits somewhere between craft guide and working writer’s testament, and remains useful precisely because it refuses to inflate writing into something sacred.
Call me unfashionable, but I loved it.
