'Kids: A Film by Larry Clark' by Larry Clark and Harmony Korine (rare)

A rare copy of the photographic document, screenplay and artefact of Larry Clark’s 1995 film Kids, built from full-page stills, behind-the-scenes photographs and Harmony Korine’s original, unedited script.
It serves as a printed extension of the film itself. The images have the same grainy intimacy and invasive proximity Clark had already made central to his photography, while Korine’s dialogue preserves the loose, brutal rhythm of teenagers speaking before anyone has cleaned it up. It's a time capsule for that downtown New York captured in the film; the skate culture, sex, drugs, AIDS panic, and a youth culture being looked, mostly horribly, the entire time.
The book has become a cult object in its own right, partly because it catches several careers at ignition point. Korine was nineteen when he wrote the screenplay, Clark was making his feature-film debut, and the cast included early appearances by Chloë Sevigny and others who would become central to 1990s independent film culture.
