'mad honey' by BC Oost

A small-press poetry object with a pleasingly feral internal logic.
It explores insects, sex, factories, queer violence, body parts, saints, circuitry, product lines, temple walls, nerve signals, and the ugly little economies that sit inside pleasure. The poems move across the page as much as along it, using spacing, fracture, drift, curved text and visual arrangement to make reading feel less like receiving a message than walking through a damaged sensorium.
Think erotic language under a microscope: desire broken into anatomy, voltage, slang, commodity, residue. Strange, local, tactile, formally restless, with enough venom in the honey to keep the whole thing from becoming decorative.
2018 paperback published by Hit & Miss Productions, University of Melbourne. Inscribed by the author on the title page. Light handling wear to cover; pages clean and bright. Solid small-press copy.
