'The Humans' by Stephen Karam

Thanksgiving dinner brings three generations of the Blake family together in a cramped Manhattan apartment.
Of course, familiar tensions surrounding money, relationships, illness and ageing gradually surface. As the evening unfolds, strange noises, failing lights and an increasingly oppressive atmosphere lend the gathering an almost supernatural unease.
Stephen Karam's Tony Award-winning play blends domestic realism with psychological horror, examining the fragility of family relationships against a backdrop of economic insecurity and social change. Its strength lies in the uncomfortable proximity of affection and resentment, and the ways ordinary conversation can reveal fears that remain otherwise unspoken.
Theatre Communications Group, revised edition, April 2016. Softcover, with foreword by Samuel G. Freedman. Good to very good condition, with light surface wear and minor creasing to covers; interior pages appear clean.
