An intriguing little literary experiment in collective storytelling.

Volume 0 gathers six writers working across fiction, horror, satire and speculative territory, each bringing a distinct sensibility of their own. Published as the second issue of an independent literary project, the collection moves between dysfunctional families, inheritance, financial absurdity, psychological unease and the peculiar catastrophes of ordinary existence.

Lisa Unger's contribution explores the psychological weight of crisis and familial expectation; Quan Barry's Inheritance brings her characteristic interest in identity and transformation; while stories from Whitney Collins, Kate Brody, Kevin Maloney and Marian Crotty approach questions of intimacy, social performance and the unstable boundaries between the familiar and the grotesque. Across the collection, dark humour and moments of genuine vulnerability coexist, often within the same scene.

Quite suited to those who enjoy discovering writers through unexpected juxtapositions rather than carefully organised categories.
