how to make paper: learn traditions using found materials
Couldn't load pickup availability
This multi-session workshop is an extended exploration of paper, language, and making — designed for people interested in process and learning a now uncommon crafting practice.
Led by paper maker and poet Steph Cobon, the series brings together handmade paper, poetic practice, and material thinking. Across several sessions, participants will work slowly and deliberately with fibre, pulp, text, and form, tracing how language behaves as matter.
The workshop prioritises experimentation, observation, and sustained engagement. Participants will be guided through the fundamentals of paper-making alongside discussions that consider the page as an active surface.
This is a workshop for writers curious about material practice, for artists interested in language and new materials, and for anyone drawn to the quiet disciplines of making something by hand over time. No prior experience with paper-making is required.
Spots are limited! So be quick if you're keen.
The workshop will run as a multi-session series in May.
