One, a boxer running from a broken love affair and two, a family man trying to slip the leash of ordinary life for a while. Their journey moves toward the bull run, but the real charge here is interior — aggression, shame, loneliness, masculine performance, and the intimacy between strangers that coagulates slowly because neither quite know what they are fleeing.

Tomorrow Pamplona is short, controlled, and deceptively plain. The prose is made up of clipped sentences, physical momentum, emotional pressure kept just under the skin. One for readers who like European fiction in translation, road novels with a moral bruise, men behaving badly but not simplistically, and books where violence is less a spectacle than a weather system.
