Overland Literary Journal Stack

If you care about Australian writing as something lived rather than remembered, this is how you keep it alive. Put it on shelves, in hands, with coffee rings and folded corners.
This is a small run of Overland journals spanning nearly a decade — 2013, 2014, and three issues from 2022 — sold together, deliberately, as a unit. This money goes directly to supporting the continuation of Overland's existence in the Australian literary scene.
Literary journals are one of the quiet casualties of the last decade. They’re too slow for the internet, too fragile for retail, and too “in-between” to be preserved properly. When they vanish they’re just pulped, archived digitally, or forgotten in back rooms.
These issues still do what journals are meant to do, and are experiencing a dearth of in contemporary publishing. The arguments aren’t settled, the voices aren’t canonised yet and you can feel the shifts happening mid-sentence.
I’m selling this as a stack rather than individually because that’s how they make sense — as a record of continuity rather than a single “special” issue. Twenty dollars is more than you'd pay at Savers, sure, but it's going towards their continuation, not dissolution (like the sister journal, Meanjiin).
Priced at $3 each, only sold for $15 as full set.
